Cayleigh's Friends Inc. is a pending 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in May of 2013 by the Dulik family after years of personally experiencing the hardships of hospitalizations of their daughter, Cayleigh Jean.
Our mission is to provide Care Packages to babies and children, and their families, who are hospitalized in either the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or who have been hospitalized over 3 days on the Pediatric Floor at Memorial Children's Hospital. With enough support, we will expand to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center (NICU) & Riley's Childrens Hospital and others within Indiana. These precious souls find themselves battling to overcome the health obstacles they are facing. Often times their parent(s) and sibling(s) must endure endless hours within the hospital walls alongside their little fighters and it takes its toll on even the strongest families.
These children are in an unfamiliar place, away from home - and so is their family. Often times the families face financial hardships, are unable to leave the bedside for long periods of time, and have additional children who must endure the hospital stay alongside their sibling.
The emotional and physical exhaustion that comes with a NICU/PICU admission takes its toll on everyone involved. Help us show these families God's love and that the people, and businesses, in their community really do care. Our goal is to let them know they are not alone. We, the community, are here for them.
